January 15, 201214 yr I agree with you Dan, the latest Nortons, from about 2008 on are very light on resource and are easy to configure, such as excluding the FS directory from scans. My son-in-law with three others runs an IT software & website design business. All four of them have trialled all the main AV software, freeware and payware and have all come to the conclusion that the latest Nortons are one of the best. I've had a couple of instances where I've needed their support. All I can say is that it is first class!Iain SmithIain, you must be the first (and only??) person to agree with me re Norton AV. My FSX runs like a scalded cat although I have to admit not all sliders are maxed and I seldom fly in places like NYC and San Francisco, LAX, etc. Norton has never gotten in my way in any way, shape or form. The others can use anything they like, for me it's Norton AV. There are reasons those other programs so often fall into the "also ran" category.
