January 10, 201214 yr You can derate and use assumed temperature, but you cannot set a certain aircraft to have a base setting of 22, 24 or 27k. You just get the default setting of 26k on the 800 for example. Major draw back for this simulation which is supposed to be the ultimate NG simulation in FS.Yeah, I was wondering about this. I thought they were gonna have airline/aircraft options to set the max thrust setting for each aircraft at 20/22/24/26k, depending on how the airline had them delivered. Like, if southwest has their -700 delivered with 24k max available thrust, then you would have TO-1 and TO-2 lines in the FMS say 22k and 20k respectively. Just curious if this is still to be added ~William Genovese~
January 11, 201214 yr Guys,re Topcat:unfortunately it can not be used to load the plane at this time due to the method PMDG used for loading. We will see if SDK will have something to say. Maybe then. However, it will still perfectly calculate take-off performance. Since the data is based from Boeing published FPPMs, and supposedly that is the same data PMDG used, it will be the same. At least it will fit better than any other add-on 737 anyway. For the 800, you can just use it to go, as the data is for 7B26 engines, that NGX 800 has,For 700, it utilizes 7B22 perf data, but NGX uses 7B24... I personally suggest you either use TO or TO1 setting in TOPCAT and then select TO1 or TO2 derate in PMDG NGX respectively, to match the data. --Peter Fabian
