Unable to get electrical power-passenger version.

Featured Replies

I am using FS9.1. OS-Windows XPI have reinstalled the PMDG MD-11 several times and still have electrical problems..When I load the flight using the MD-11F everything works correctly. I can even switch panel states and it works But when using the passenger version the panel has no electrical power at all. I cannot even switch the panel state and get power. I have even tried to power up manually with no luck. When I purchased the plane it worked good with both versions. Not sure what has happened. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks.jmike46

Are you selecting Cold and Dark from the menu? what other add ons have you got? Any failures active? do you get nothing when selecting battery power? Go to the MD11 Config Manager and load pax and cargo and save it, see if that resets it (I read in a separate forum this fixed it).

It doesn't make any difference what panel state I try to load, no power. I have the PMDG 737's and 747 loaded, no failures active. I get battery on and off indication when switched on and off, but no power whatsoever. Can't even get to ground power..Tried config manager with no luck. The freighter version works perfect from any panel state selected.

Bummer, John, you may have to open a ticket with PMDG

You can get it easily. Go to the FMS and go to menu. Then hit short cuts, then ground connections and press R1 (ext power). Now you'll have external power and elec when hit the ext pwr (in green) on the overhead panel. After that you also can start the APU etc. Normally they only start the APU just before Push Back on bigger airports.Cheers,John

Can't use the FMC, display is blank with no power...:(

Jmike46,This is likely an activation issue. A support ticket should get you fixed up.
