G3D9.DLL error

Featured Replies

i dont know if anyone else has experienced this error with this aircraft but i was flying form 74S to 7S3 using all ORBX scenery i got this error same spot 3 times in a row. I have read that it is a fsx memory limitation so i did turn down my ai traffic and lowered my water resolution from high to medium 2x and it seemed to have fixed it but i dont know if thats going to completely fix it. i am using 4096 tweak in my cfg but im not willing to lower it. I got this error a lot when the NGX first came out especially flying in orbx australia but after sp1 the errors went away.I really enjoy this aircraft and the the realityxp GNS makes it better. this is by far my favorite carenado aircraft so far. If i am alone in this error then oh well i guess but i thought people should know especially carenado incase another update is necessary. thanks againhere below is exactly what i got for an error sorry not g3d9 i mean g3d.dllLog Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 1/21/2012 3:46:39 PMEvent ID: 1000Task Category: (100)Level: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: Brian-PCDescription:Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14Faulting module name: g3d.dll, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb58Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x000ba79fFaulting process id: 0x724Faulting application start time: 0x01ccd87b0bf4ca3dFaulting application path: E:Microsoft Flight Simulator Xfsx.exeFaulting module path: E:Microsoft Flight Simulator Xg3d.dllReport Id: 03c8e8b4-4471-11e1-96bc-00504300ce5fEvent Xml:<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2012-01-21T20:46:39.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>1532</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Brian-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb14</Data> <Data>g3d.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb58</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>000ba79f</Data> <Data>724</Data> <Data>01ccd87b0bf4ca3d</Data> <Data>E:Microsoft Flight Simulator Xfsx.exe</Data> <Data>E:Microsoft Flight Simulator Xg3d.dll</Data> <Data>03c8e8b4-4471-11e1-96bc-00504300ce5f</Data> </EventData></Event>

I added this to the FSX.CFG file under scenery to "trap" gd3.dll error!MissingLibraryAlert=1CheersMartin

or use latest FSUIP4 to catch g3d.dll errorsSee this post.http://forum.avsim.n...nt-fsx-crashes/For what is worth is that this problem has been raised numerous times over at ORBX. You not the only one getting this eror at a specific point. You not the only one that got this error at this specific place. For some people it really has become a nightmare.. ORBX have released another library set to correct the missing library errors. Dont know if you have latest set of libraries installed. Also some people completely deactivated Vashon as that airport seemed to create a lot of issues. The other airport that was a nightmare for some users was KORS.The fact that you do pass Vashon quite closely It could be that. So also check for the vashon update that was released. I think it was 3 files that were missing and they did brought out a correction at some time. I will see if I can find the link for you.see following linkshttp://forum.avsim.n...-ctd-with-orbx/ look at post 5, but read whole threadhttp://forum.avsim.n...e-orbx-scenery/http://forum.avsim.n...-fly-over-ksea/http://forum.avsim.n...d-seattle-ksea/ this one mention vashon again as a culpritThere are literary 100's of posts about this error in ORBX.Some systems seem to bypass the library errors while other have had major issues with it.. call computers temperamental

just an update. i really appriciate the help i still have a lot of reading to do about this, but the MissingLibraryAlert=1 does work however im hitting the ok button every 2 seconds and if i take that tweak out i still get the the g3d.dll error. I have tried different versions of fsuipc and nothing. ive tried lowering my overclock still no go. im going to uninstall my reality xp and see if that works i have a feeling it will but thanks again anyway friends

You must use the latest version: FSUIPC 4.761Does FSUIP gives you a "log". If not you not using the right version. When you start a flight with the right version there should be a popup about something that dissapear after a few seconds. that will also indicate if you using the latest FSUIP.http://forum.simflig...pdated-modules/The other question is do you have registered version. As I understand you must ahev the registered version, but I can be wrong. I do have registered version, so it is working with me, but as my version is registered I cannot say if the not registered vesion also work. The fact that you get the missing missing texture alert, mean you need rather try and fix the textures that is missing.

ok this will probably b my last input on the subject. The latest fsuipc did not help me but still a great product im glad a have it so what i did was uninstalled realityxp and and flew 5 short flights in orbx pnw and i did not recieve one g3d.dll error, not one, so i guess fsx cant handle that much load so with orbx and xpgns running at the same time. Im disapointed for this because i love all these products i made sure i have the most up to date versions of everything i can think of and that did not solve problem. So no note to self... when flying in orbx do not run extra addons.

I'm flying in PNW all the time with twin RXP GNSs installed, without getting an error..so it can be done.. Do you possbily have your traffic settings high or a high LOD radius set?
