February 25, 200422 yr This post is a thank you to Holger Sandmann and to Bill/Lynn Lyons. There is one reason.I had a hard day today and just wanted to relax. I figured I'd fire up one of my old school airplanes... No ATC...no radio. Just a old school VFR flight. So I fired up FS9 and selected the Lyons Stinson, which is my favorite "chill out" airplane simply because its awesome. I also selected to fly in early evening between Penicton and Vernon British Columbia near Kelowna. Put on my favorite pure instrumental CD (Isla del Sol by Armik) and flew down the lake to Vernon and back with the musak playing. with Holgers scenery and Bills airplane plus the music...I just so thoroughly enjoyed the experience that I need to say THANKS. I have my PPL and I will be honest in saying that I sometimes...(only sometimes) get the same "pure joy" of independent flight from FS as I do from the real thing. This was one of those time. I didnt include screenshots because early evening shots never give a clear picture, so figgered I'd just offer up words.Eric AND

February 25, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Eric:Thanks for sharing this personal experience; I can imagine the scenery and "screenshots", not the least because you ended your journey right where I live - did you spot that apple orchard on the hillside?I've had several of those unique FS experiences myself - and not only with my scenery add-ons ;-) - and I'm sure many others did to. And, coincidentally (or not) it does usually involve one of Lynn and Bill's creations, which are so amazing in detail (and sound!) yet gentle on those of us with slower computers. I hope that today and onwards are better days for you ;-)Cheers, HolgerP.S. Thanks Luis, much appreciated!
February 25, 200422 yr Hi Eric,Check out the Screen Shots Forum: ;)http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=119272&page=Perhaps you should consider posting the description of your flight on the Dream Flights Forum for everyone to try.Cheers!Mike :-wave
