What do you use for weather?

Featured Replies

I have both rex and ASE, i have to many weather issues ( blue skies and rain, blue skies on overcast days etc.. ) to carry on using ase and upgrading to AS 2012 is a big no no at this time, when rex essentials released i will give that a good test. I have used both openclouds and FSrealWX a while back when openclouds was free to use and both of them have some great features that are better than the payware counterparts but now openclouds is subscription based i decided not to pursue that as an option. The rex wx is far from perfect and there is plenty i dont like about it but it seems almost all those will be addressed with the free update but time will tell.

I myself am running REX textures with the ASE weather, and I too am having the issues with blue skies and rain. Even on foggy days I have noticed that I get blue fog, and I can never seem to get it so bad that I can barely see anything. I can see about a half a mile and then you start to notice the fog/decress in visibility. I guess that is the main reason I brought up this thread. I was wanting to see what people are using in order to get a feel on what everyone is thinking the best software is that is on the market as of right now. So far AS2012 seems to be the most popular, but the sound of the new REX has me thinking about that possibility too. :(
