I am struggling with AA and shimmering, I am guessing it is the AA causing the shimmering by reading theis thread. I have it turned off in game and set to 8x aa and 16x anistropic. Still, a lof of shimmering on the distance, easily visible when taking off at the default airport and looking in the distance when there is a lot of coastline winding around. I had thought it could be an artifact of using a large hdtv but I only do simming and cant say I have ever noticed it before in my more regularly run sims.
