carenado saratoga stabilator does not move. is there any way to fix?thanks in advance

I would just reload the aircraft. Their installations are so simple, it's worth it to choose the "shotgun" method of repair when it comes to Carenado aircraft. If you have never reloaded a Carenado aircraft, make sure you have the zip or extracted file (of course), the "Serial Number" and your e-mail. Those are usually required for the reload. The "Serial Number" is Carenado's term for the 20-something digit number that accompanies the original aircraft download. If you don't have that number, log into the Carenado website and go to your "Register/My Account". That webpage shows the aircraft you have purchased with the serial number for each purchase. If you don't have the file, you can download it on that same webpage IF you haven't downloaded more than the allowable limit. That is also shown on you account page.I'm not familiar with this procedure if you bought the aircraft through a sales website like Aerosoft, FlightSim or AVSim, but I'm sure they each have easy instructions in their support pages. I've always purchased mine directly from their website - at least I think that is what I did... You never know when you're going through a middle man or not these days.As far as the cause, I've never heard of a specific problem with the 'Toga's flight controls. Good luck!C ya,Mark

I deleted the Saratoga from FSX, downloaded the file again from Carenado, and reinstalled in FSX. The problem still exists, the stabilator does not move. I guess it's a minor anoyance anyway, but the advertising says it moves, it really ought to move. Thanks for any solutions.

Have you checked the 'advanced animations' tick box?

It moves on my installation. Do you need to calibrate your yoke/stick?

Do you have service packs one and two installed for fsx? Is advanced animations checked?Have you patted your head whilst rubbing your tummy? Is the control surface 'functioning' when in flight, or simpky locked completely?have you made any modifications to the aircraft since install?

I have advance animations checked. I realized yesterday that the stabilator moves when viewed externally, but when in VC it does not. Looking out at it from VC during take-off checklist is the only time I look at it. I have not modified the aircraft. The airplane flies well, everything else works great. I have several Carenado planes and this is the only one with a control surface problem. Thanks for replies so far.

could be a vc animation then, I did ask, but have you service pack one and two in?

I do have sp1 adn sp2 for FSX. All other add-ons work: Carenado, Realair, A2A all control surfaces work viewed from inside VC,

SP1 & 2 for the Saratoga, not FSX.(BTW, I highly recommend Acceleration besides SP2 for FSX as well because it improves FSX a lot, especially FDE wise)
