January 29, 201214 yr Author I try to start my flight in default scenery and my Rcv4 works.I try to start my Flight in third party scenery and my plane goes to the middle of the runway.how can I resolve the problem of start location (lat/long) in the addon scenery?I have got the latest makerwys.exe (4.45)
January 29, 201214 yr Install this new version of makerwys.exe in your FS folder:http://fsuipc.simfli...Runways_451.zipInstall this version of FSUIPC:FS9: http://fsuipc.simfli...FSUIPC3998n.zip full pack first, then http://fsuipc.simfli...FSUIPC3998t.zip for the interim version.FSX: http://fsuipc.simfli..._FSUIPC4758.zip first, then http://fsuipc.simfli.../FSUIPC4761.zipIf you have a dual install of FSX and FS9 make sure you are using the correct path to FS for each version as you run each version of RC when running the scenery rebuild after installing the new makerwys.exe.The symptom you describe occurs when your flight plan has set of airport coordinates and RC data has another set. That causes RC to move the aircraft.FS9 and FSX coordinates are slightly different so you must insure in a dual install that the RC data is coming from the correct version of FS.If you use RC on a client to an FSX host PC you must run makerwys.exe first directly in your FS folder. Then you run the scenery rebuild. Here is what to look for:MakeRunways 4.51 is the current version available from the Additional Programs link on the page listed in the pinned topic. FSUIPC 3998t for FS9 and FSUIPC 4761 is for FSX to be installed after installing the full packages first.Check in your FS folder the attributes for modified for r5.csv and note that. That should be the date/time stamp of your rebuild. Now do the same for your r4.csv file in your rcv4 or rcv4X data folder and insure they match that same rebuild attribute. This insures that the makerwys utility updated the FS folder files and that rc copied them to its data folder. RC uses the r5.csv file in your FS folder copying it as r4.csv to its own data folder. RC then creates its a4.csv from calculations on r4.csv to determine the airport center from runway placements. If RC and FS reside on the same pc, RC set to run with admin rights should execute makerwys in your FS folder. If not, you'll have to run makerwys.exe directly first in your FS folder before starting the rebuild in RC. Insure that for the RC you are running for the rebuild that you put in the correct data path for the version of FS being used. These are just checks to insure RC is getting the correct data.Be sure your origination point in your .pln file matches where your departure airport is as loaded in FS. January 29, 201214 yr Author I did all you described. it remains all the same.I make my flight plan in FSbuild.Joao
January 29, 201214 yr Pick an airport where you are having this problemIn your FS folder with worpad search for r5.csv and open it - NOT with Excel or other spreadsheet application.Search for the rows with the ICAO of that airport and copy and paste them in a replay here.In the rcv4data folder do the same with r4.csv, then that airport entry in a4.csv.What version of FS are you using? Now generate in the planner of your choice a flight plan from that airport to somewhere. From your My Documents Flight Simulator or Flight Simulator X folder open the .pln file in wordpad or notepad and copy/paste the .pln file into that reply. Then we will go from there after I compare all of your departure airport coordinates in those files.I'll be checking to insure your rc data files match the extracted scenery data and were transferred correctly and that your planner coordinates match. After that we will look at the log later called runways.txt in your FS folder created by the makerwys utility to see if it processed your scenery correctly to check your scenery installation.

January 30, 201214 yr RC's coordinates in a4.csv match real world coordinates for the airport center. You .pln coordinates (N51° 09' 31.00" , W00° 10' 00.00") are a bit off from the real world approximation of 51d 8' 53"N 0d 11m' 21"W but that should fall within RC limits. Is it only when you START RC that the aircraft moves to the runway? Is it the middle of the runway or the threshold. If you don't start RC is the aircraft where you want it at a parking location? Are you loading in .pln into FS itself? If so, do you have FS set to not move the aircraft when you load the .pln in?Is this happening at most airports? We can trouble shoot this by you having your flight ready to go. Then when yo9u start RC set it up tocreate a log before you load your set your aircraft and .pln by clicking the DEBUG button in RC. After the aircraft moves out of place when starting RC you can quit RC and then e-mail the log and problem description as noted in the pinned topic. The log is in your rcv4x folder as rcv4.log. I suggest you rename it to rcv4-EGKK.log so it does not get overwritten by the next log. Zip it up and send it in attached to an e-mail with your FS version and problem description Subject: EGKK log RC4 aircraft moved to [email protected] so he can look at it. Include this topic pointer in the e-mail as http://forum.avsim.n...4-problem-with/ so he can look through the steps we have gone through.Just to verify, your RC version should be 4.3 build 4385 as shown in the lower left of the splash screen. Finally, are you using the US version of Windows? if not this can cause problems in translating coordinate data. January 31, 201214 yr Author My plans are carried through the FSbuild. For example start at EGKK gate 109 ... after preparing the plane to enter flight plan in the FMC, I open the RC and start the flight plan when I start the aircraft appears and disappears from the gate in the middle of the track and is not even aligned simultaneously makes crasch.Problem is happening in the UK2000 EGKK addon, ever experienced in the Aerosoft EDDV ok and everything like at the airport in Seville addon that is not okay.I'll try in a few airports that have addon.I have FSX Acceleracion - Windows7 64Bit ... January 31, 201214 yr Please send in a log as requested in my previously reply so jd can see why RC is moving your aircraft. There is one more thing you can check:When you rebuild the scenery database a log file is created in your FS folder called runways.txt. This is a large file that should be loaded in Word or Wordpad.Search for EGKK. That first section has a path pointing to the stock airport. The rest of the sections are paired with a delete section followed by an add section with each pointing to the scenery folder involved.Repeat your EGKK search. The last pair of EGKK sections is the dominant high priority scenery set which forms the data for RC. The path for each section within that pair should be to your UK2000 scenery folder for EGKK. Any preceding sets for EGKK (except the default) might represent a conflict if they don't point to that same folder. Here is the FS9 default entry (in part) for EGKK. Note the path to the file.Airport EGKK :N51:08:52.9731 W000:11:24.9993 196ft Country Name="United Kingdom" State Name="" City Name="London" Airport Name="Gatwick" in file: SceneryEURWsceneryAP947130.BGLThen there should be a pair of sections like this (again for FS9 - The freeware UK2000 EGKK):=============================================================================Area.096 "UK2000 Gatwick FREE" (Layer=97)Local=UK2000 sceneryUK2000 Gatwick FREE=============================================================================UK2000 sceneryUK2000 Gatwick FREEsceneryAF2_EGKK_UK2f.BGL=============================================================================Deletions check for Airport EGKK: Delete all taxiways! The first section deletes data of conflcting scenery of lower priority. The second section adds the data from the UK2000 Gatwick. It is important that in the rest of runways.txt there are no more references to EGKK. February 1, 201214 yr Author I have sent the file via email.I did experience a day at the airport EGSS (Addon UK2000), the same happened to me I'm desperateMy FSX now everything was ok and no reason was so I do not know what to do I hope for your help me solve this problem ..Thank you very much Joao
February 1, 201214 yr Make sure in the FS scenery setup that all of your add-on scenery such as UK2000 and Aerosoft scenery has highest priority (lowest number toward the top of the list - position 1 is highest) then your FS Add-on Scenery folder and others.Check your FSX registry entry with this free registry checker utility from flight1. You must right click on it and select run as administrator. Get it from this page:http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library as FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB)If you have both FSX and FS9 installed make sure you have installed RCv4 for each version. You should be installing version 4.3 buid 3845. It will create two separate folders called RCv4 and RCv4x. If running from the v4 folder then all of your path entries should be for FS9. If running from a v4x folder then all of your entries should be for FSX.Have you confirmed that the last entries for EGKK in your runways.txt file in your FSX folder point to your UK2000EGKK path?RC is moving your aircraft because it thinks your aircraft is outside of the aircraft boundary. This is determined by the distance calculated from the center of the runways positions as noted in the a4.csv entry. I am not sure exactly what that distance is.You mentioned gate 109 at EGKK. In the FS9 version I have, that is only about 3500 feet from the center of the runway, well within the RC tolerance before an aircraft gets moved. The log should tell the problem and let us know if you get a response.
February 5, 201214 yr Author Well I've done two flights EDDV the second-EGSS-EGSS EDDV and everything went ok ... I'll try some more and make the report. When the files sent by email to JD I'm waiting for a reply ...Thank you for your help Joao
