January 29, 201214 yr Do you happen to know why JAL set up a training facility in the US? To train American pilots?I'm not sure, Bram. Someone else will chime in, I'm sure. I had the idea US flight training was more affordable than it is in most other countries, airspace structure is more conducive to such operations, and certification for an FAA license is to a high standard. I've never thought about it. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
January 29, 201214 yr Do you happen to know why JAL set up a training facility in the US? To train American pilots? To train their own japanese pilots. It's cheaper here and there's more room. Several Asian and European airlines send their ab-initios to train in the US. Even other militaries send their pilots to be trained in the US. Edited January 29, 201214 yr by KevinAu
