February 27, 200422 yr i just installed the antilles 2004 package..since then the sea level has risen by 200ft.now when i take off from honolulu im under water...within a couple of hundred feet i break through the waters surface and can see the city of honolulu ....under the sea..lol, ive got to laugh even tho it might mean a complete reinstall. any help appreciated steve ps i have uninstalled the antilles 2004 package ..but problem still remains.also uninstalled FSgenisis mesh for caribbean and mexico
February 27, 200422 yr I've had email contact with the designer of antilles. he has been made aware of scenery conflict problems, but so far...no fix. The hawaii situation is a new one...but, then I have not flown around the islands lately. With antilles and previously installed carib area mesh, there are isolated pockets of onshore bldgs placed off shore...very disconcerting. It's really too bad, because other aspects of the scenery look quite good...and cyril, the designer I think would really help if he could...Sherm
February 27, 200422 yr dunno 'bout this particular onebut if you took off some bgls and problem remainslikely the bgls were kosheri buzz around the caribbean all the timewith fsgenesis alright, high quality stuffnever a glitchsorry i can't be more helpful:(
February 27, 200422 yr I have the antilles 2004 package installed and have no such problems with water levels. the fact that you have uninstalled the antilles and fsgenisis packages tells me that its something else thats installed on your computer that is causing this. Do you have any other mesh you have installed on your computer?Don
February 27, 200422 yr hime too i think the FSG mesh is fantastic..i've got the whole of usa and europe covered with FSG mesh, never had a problem!!.very strange taking off and coming up through the waters surface.never seen anything like that...and i had FS1 on the Commodore64.. thanks anyway best wishes steve
February 27, 200422 yr hi no other mesh in that area installed..i've searched through the files where i think antilles might have put some files ,but can't find anything.it might be that the antilles package doesn't uninstall properly.(could leave a bgl somewhere)...i see a reinstall looming in the not to distant future...all 2.5gig of it best wishes steve
February 29, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Steve:It's getting a bit boring blaming Rob for strange effects (and I might be out to lunch on this one) but I know that his original Alaska mesh affected an area from N55 W170 to N16 W56, which would include both Hawaii and the Antilles, I believe. If you have this or one of his other earlier meshes, try disabling them and see whether the problems persist.According to his latest readme file (included with the ID/WY mesh, which, btw, seems to be without such errors), he states that this and most of his other mesh files are "no longer supported", "will vanish off FS web sites", and "If you have any of those files , you are to delete them." That would be 650MB of downloads down the drain... ;-)Cheers, Holger
