Menu Navigation Problem

Featured Replies

I have not been using RC for some time due to personal illness but am back to flying FSX. However, I no longer can navigate to deeper menu levels. For example, I cannot ask for the QNH while in flight. I am pretty sure that I was able to do this before. Any ideas where I should start looking?

Lv Freq for Wx should show up in cruise and initial parts of descent. If not on the current menu try the extended options on 9.Your arrival weather is good at 50 miles out from the airport. As you get closer it will no longer be available in the dense areas of approach. By that time the controller will give it to you as necessary. Also the controller will give it to you whenever you go from standard pressure for flight levels to local pressure for altitudes in feet.

make sure you have the latest version of rc, 4.3 and also the latest version of fsuipcyou may need to go another "page" into the menus to find the weather enroute.though i don't think it will do you much good at FL300 - i think it will give you the pressure of the reporting station closest to you, directly below youlike ron says, the arrival weather should be availabe at around 50-70 miles. when third party weather programs do their things to make the arrival weather one way or another, you better check the qnh after you contact approach.jd
