February 7, 201214 yr Did a quick search did not find any detailed info on this.I am looking to purchase a system from Flightdecksolutions but Peter explained for the NGX to work PMDG needs to release the SDK. Two questions -1. Can someone from PMDG chime in and let me know if this is going to happen anytime in the near future?2. Can someone explain what SDK is. Thanks Guys. February 7, 201214 yr Hello,1)I'm not from PMDG but I can say the same words as they do: it's done when its done. ^_^But they'll release it with SP1c if I understand it right and that wouldn't be too long.Few weeks maybe.2)SDK is an Software Development KitDevelopers need this "raw" datas from PMDG for interfacing the NGX Edited February 7, 201214 yr by guenseli Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

February 7, 201214 yr SDK is an Software Development KitDevelopers need this "raw" datas from PMDG for interfacing the NGXI am no programmer.... (cut me slack!)Why can't this be done without an SDK?

Two questions -1. Can someone from PMDG chime in and let me know if this is going to happen anytime in the near future?2. Can someone explain what SDK is. Thanks Guys.Just start a more specific thread on the PMDG forum entitled: 'When will the SDK be released???'. Someone from PMDG may well chime in...:) :) :)(3 smileys means 'that was a joke' - so don't do that!).Serious answer:I'm also looking at the Jetmax. To run the whole setup you'll need a pretty specific software solution - in concept, like project magenta for a normal home cockpit. It is possible that Jetmax will get the PMDG SDK and make a solution of their own - they did say they are PMDG fans - but this is speculative, and if it happens it will be a while. I believe Jetmax was looking at other cheaper-than-project magenta software, to sell with their hardware ie. integrate hardware/software solutions.I'm probably more looking at buying individual components like the throttle quad. To get this to work with the ngx (cutoff switches etc) you'd want the SDK. I suspect jetmax will make an ngx driver once the SDK is released. If the jetmax throttle quad switches etc are recognised by FSUIPC then you could easily sort a work around for things like cutoff switches with mouse macros (which is what i currently do). But i haven't been able to find much detail on the jetmax gear yet. Buy the VRinsight Boeing MCP2, and add Linda - a program for interfacing this hardware with aircraft like the ngx. It was written by a couple of crazy European guys I think. Single best piece of FSX freeware, ever - and particularly brilliant with the ngx.
