February 7, 201214 yr Back in the old days when using fs2004 I believe there was a program that would search you (gauges) file and remove any files that are no longer associated with any A/C. This happens if the A/C is removed but all the gauges, effects, etc are left behind. Is there anything like this for FSX? Am sure I have a bunch of files in the FSX directory that needs to be cleaned up. Edited February 7, 201214 yr by flash828

I ended up having to reinstall them as gauges they relied on had been completely removed. I've made it a habit every few weeks of checking my FSX directory, root drive, and temp folder for things that are trash. ie Visual C++ dll files and the like.Either way, here is what I found: http://www.wolfgang-picheta.de/ "Flusifix". Looks like it's in another language, but maybe you can figure the program out as it looks to be the only offering besides FS Panel Studio (payware). February 7, 201214 yr Flusifix is a great and powerful little utility and yes it is in English too. I am using Flusifix -2006 Version 5.0, and have been for several years and yes, it does have a gauge cleaner among many other things. Does it, for example, automatically back up your files before modification? Thx
