CTD when exiting flight

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I'm experiencing some serious issues with the NGX. Everytime I want to exit a flight with the engines and systems running, FSX crashes. When I exit with everything shut down, it brings me back to the menu screen without crashing. Also, today during a flight with random failures enabled, I tried to open the map in the FSX menu to look for my destination runway and ILS frequency, I also got CTD.What could cause this? Don't know if it's too demanding for my cpu (AMD Phenom 2 X4 3,1GHz) since with this aircraft it doesn't run quite smooth at all...I also have REX 2.0 + Overdrive installed. Maybe there are some relations causing this problem?

What is your name?Does FSX default aircraft flight + exit FSX work OK?

First of all post your full name before your post gets deleted. Some solutions:First of all we have to find out which module.or file is causing the CTD. Go to START, right-click Computer -> Manage. Then go to Logbooks -> Windows Logbooks -> Applications, then click on the last error report with the red ( ! ) mark next to it. There should be a full list of information about the error. The important info we wanna know is the name of the faultmodule, it should say it in there.Download the UIAutomationCore.dll file from the internet, and place inside your FSX root folder. This prevents CTD's using the menu bar (World -> Map for example in your case).Go to www.venetubo.com/fsx.html, and fill in your hardware specs. AFter this download the FSX.cfg file and place it inside C:/Users/Your name/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSXAlso, some random causes of CTD's:Do not change aircraft in one FSX session. When you want to change aircraft always start FSX, otherwise you might get a CTD at some point.

Hey, sorry for the name. With default aircraft it works fine though rarely I also get CTD's.Here's what I've found in the eventlog:EDIT (have found something more relative to the exiting problem I guess):Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: fsx.exe, Version: 10.0.61637.0, Zeitstempel: 0x46fadb14Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: d3d9.dll, Version: 1.0.0.1, Zeitstempel: 0x48751493Ausnahmecode: 0xc0000005Fehleroffset: 0x00006d1cID des fehlerhaften Prozesses: 0x11e4Startzeit der fehlerhaften Anwendung: 0x01cce71898aaa1eaPfad der fehlerhaften Anwendung: C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator Xfsx.exePfad des fehlerhaften Moduls: C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator Xd3d9.dllBerichtskennung: d712d277-530c-11e1-9adb-0026188f2e2fSeems to be the enb mod...Many thanks!regardsMax

Also, if you use FSINN there is a tuner option that needs to be disabled. It's for some sort of internet radio through FSINN...dunno never used it before but FSINN recommended to turn it off to avoid CTDs on quitting FSX.

Max,"With default aircraft it works fine though rarely I also get CTD's."Sounds like you have problems not PMDG, IMO.Your FSX is in "C:Program Files (x86)" .. it is not the best place. This place belongs to Windows.Did you read the PMDG manual about installation?

As I stated before, it's the enb light bloom mod that causes the problem when exiting. With default aircraft FSX crashed sometimes when I used the menu bar or switched external views (though not so often then with the NGX) but that's not my fault, it's an issue with FSX where I had to search for and place the uiautomationcore.dll into the main FSX folder. Still have to see if it solved the problem.I don't see a problem with FSX and the NGX being installed in the default folder, the only installation manual that came with my purchase is a readme file and it doesn't say anywhere not to install it in C:/program files/Microsoft Games/, I don't know why this could be bad?regardsMax

Max,
Ah, now I remember reading this but I didn't follow it since FSX was already installed in the default directory. Thanks anyway!regardsMax
