February 12, 201214 yr I'm completely new to the turbine version, and I'm not sure if my problem is actually normal or not. The engine power is fluctuating on it's own, and it's very sudden and unpredictable. Only happens below about 2000 AGL. It seems to be caused by wind gusts but I'n not certain. I've watched plenty of Duke videos and haven't seen anyone else's plane do this.Final approach is a nightmare and landing is about impossible. It's like someone else is in the room with a remote control messing with my throttles and prop levers; uuuup, doowwn, uuuup, doowwn...... Edited February 12, 201214 yr by bud7h7 Bud Estrada
February 12, 201214 yr Are your throttle quadrant levers moving on their own?If yes, check your throttle, prop and Condition (mixture) lever assignments.Cheers,- jahman.

Also, if you have a gamepad like the G13 or n52 make sure to check to see if FS has made assignments there as well. February 12, 201214 yr Author No, there's only one yoke installed, no other controllers. The levers are not moving. It's just the engine rpm (?) going up or down, but only below a certain altitude and on the ground. Other than that the rest of the flight is normal. Bud Estrada
February 12, 201214 yr Do you have any Saitek panels that might be conflicting? I have had issues similar to what you are explaining with my Saitek panels.
February 12, 201214 yr Author I think I'll be reinstalling FSX when I upgrade my GPU and PSU in a couple of days. My whole system is only a week old and I've had several issues with FSX in general, so I'm going to start from scratch while it's still basically barebones.. Bud Estrada

February 12, 201214 yr Author Resolved.Mostly just inexperience with turbine aircraft, I'm affraid. Wind gusts were causing prop RPM to climb, which for some reason causes torque to drop, followed by rpm drop after the wind gust, followed by increase in torque, all of which was throwing me an impossible curve ball (Picture a Mr Bean scenario). Using FSUIPC I have now suppressed winds/gusts near the aircraft somewhat.Compounding the issue was that I had buggered my throttle axis in FSUIPC by setting the "delta" value too high (about 900) making subtle power adjustments impossible. Changing it to 258 fixed it nicely. I had raised it to 900 to test what it actually does, and forgot to reduce it again. Edited February 12, 201214 yr by bud7h7 Bud Estrada
