February 14, 201214 yr Hi Guys,I am looking for good quality images (Jpeg or GIF) of flight instruments, particularl, the following for Beechcraft non Turbo Twin to be used in gauges.Manifold Pressue Gauge face plateRPMFuel FlowTemperture gaugesFuel qtyetcetcI found this..But I am looking for better quality. If they are not Beechcraft, as long as they are similar, I would be interested. I need this for new gauges for Saitek Instrument Gauges. I think I can customze additional gauges. The standard Engine gauges are too small since they have 4 or so gauge per panel. I want to seperate them out. I just need the images of these face plates.http://www.unitedins...achometers.htmlPlease e-mail me or post the links if you find them.I'd much appreciate itThanksMannyPS: Mods, I have posted this in the cockpit folder as well.. But since I am just looking for images, thought I'd request for it here as well. Edited February 14, 201214 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
February 14, 201214 yr I would go ahead and use the images from the website you provided. The quality is good enough for an FSX cockpit... you just have edit out the needle, but you have to do that no matter what. Bert
February 14, 201214 yr Why not take your digital camera or iPhone to your nearest airport and "have a field day"?You would have a great time, meet some new folks, get exactly what you want and maybe even get a ride up into the sky.Cheers,- jahman.
February 14, 201214 yr Author The quality of that image is not that great if I make it slightly bigger.. about 130% which is what I need for the Saitek Flight instrument gauge. But I probably would use that for now to get it done while I keep looking for better resolution photo/graphics of those gauges.Hmm..the airport visit with a camera ... Too much work. Ha Ha! I had some awesome images from the web page about 2 years ago.. I saved it somewhere but I can't remember where I put it now or which website I got it off.I don't mind doing it from scratch using Photoshop.. Except, I don't know if there is a command to put a circle of ticks with a break at 10 units in a circle. The quality I am shooting for is, something like real air duke engine instruments. :) Edited February 14, 201214 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
February 18, 201214 yr Author OK.. I found an awesome solution.. But its not going to help others.I used one of the aircraft from my FSX gauges. This is what I did.. I went to VC of this aircraft and got real close in VC on my 24 inch monitor and took a screen capture and cropped out each of gauge I wanted into seperate jpegs. I then used photoshop and Nik's Viveza and made it even better... brightened up the colors, edited the needle out and what not. Then made the bmp out of it..and the gauges look spectaculor.I now have one of the best Saiket Gauges for Manifold Pressure, RPM, Fuel flow and what not..for MYSELF.However, I cannot upload this to our liberary for using a guages from the aircraft of FSX.So.. I am still looking for good quality images so I can build this gauge for everyone else.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
