Instand Scenery question

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about buying Flight 1's Instant Scenery V2 pacgage but there is just one thing I cannot work out.Must Instant Scenery and its libraries be installed on the PC where I run FS9 from or can I do the design work on a laptop [which also has FS9 on it] and just copy over any bgl files I create? Many thanks for any help.David

For any objects to display you will need to have the libraries installed on the PC.Instant Scenery does not need to be installed.regards,Joe

I know I'm late to the conversation, but Instant Scenery itself does not include any libraries of objects - it initially uses only the FS2004/FSX/Acceleration libraries built right into the simulator. If you create something in Instant Scenery using FSX & Acceleration objects, the end-user will need to have (obviously) FSX and Acceleration. You CAN bring in and use additional 3rd party libraries of objects if you wish, and in those cases Joe is indeed correct - the end user would also need to have those library packages installed. Many Instant Scenery authors only use the default libraries simply because it reduces the muss and fuss of installation and increases the number of people who would be willing/able to use the end result, but you're not restricted to that at all.Have fun!-Greg
