Problem with joystick settings with latest beta

Recommended Posts

I have a wierd problem I only experienced since updating to the latest beta. Every time I restart the sim, or even within the sim-change to a different location-all my joystick button settings are lost. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

..am I the only one with this new problem? Every airport change, sim start requires programing the button pushes-every time!

Thanks for checking-but problems here. Could it be that I went from beta something 3 weeks ago to present beta with out the upgrades in between?

I don't have a problem either. Geof, I know it's a pain, but did you try and see if deleting your preferences helps? You really don't need to delete them, move them and they will be rebuilt, kinda like the fsx.cfg.Glenedit: This is for XP9, works the same in XPX.....http://wiki.x-plane....the_Preferences

Geofa, do you change the usb port your joystick/yoke/whatever is connected on ? I've heard of someone who had this problem because of that.P.S: wait, just read it happens with every airport change ! that must be something else. I would try to delete the prefs as suggested.

I deleted the "xplane keys" file-still no joy. Is there something different I need to delete.I have a saitek yoke-I can program the keys on the hat switch-it works fine-until I switch to a different airport. Then it loses all the settings...

Geofa,I have found it's best to delete ALL the files in the Pref folder, which means setting up everything from scratch.I use a Saitek Yoke also and I'm not having any problems.Check your button configs in XP and see if any buttons are doing double duty, like one button will use two different commands, I had this happen once to me.
