February 23, 201214 yr Is it possible? I've been working on it since last night and I've had no luck. I installed the flightplans (airports, aircraft and flightplan .txt files I should say), converted it to an FSX .bgl via AIFP, and then installed all but one of the AI aircraft and repaints, but when going to their "Superhub" at Memphis there's NO Fedex aircraft at all, only a couple of feeder AI that I got from WoAI.So am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible? Thanks.
February 23, 201214 yr FSX and FS9 flightplans do not mix :) I believe WOAI uses FS9 flightplans, unless you have converted them. FSX is capable of running both FS9 and FSX flightplans, but not at the same time, and when they are both put together, it chooses to run FS9 flightplans. You can try to convert the WOAI flightplans and any other conflicting FS9 flightplan .bgls so that they become FSX flightplans :D Hope this wasn't too complicated to understand! But thank you anyway!! I might also say that I tried the Fedex package as an FS9 flightplan and it still didn't show... Edited February 23, 201214 yr by Will Dunn
February 23, 201214 yr First, there is absolutely no reason to use true FSX flight plans in FSX. In fact, the first thing you should do is delete the FSX default traffic file from your Scenery/World/Scenery folder. This will allow all your FS9 FPs to run properly in FSX.Next, get a copy of AIFPC. This software will add the required data to any FS9 flight plan. That data is day-of-the-week and airport ICAO code changes (FS9 days-of-the-week are off by one day and there have been some airport ICAO codes changes between FS9 and FSX). The output is NOT a true FSX flight plan (it doesn't need to be). Run all your FS9 FPs through AIFPC and you'dre done. Of course that is after using Traffic Tools to compile the FP text files (aircraft, airport, and flightplans.txt)I have more than 2,000 individual airline FPs installed in FSX and ALL OF THEM are FS9 FPs. I also have more than 7,000 texture files in my AI environment and ALL OF THEM are FS9 textures. I don't use any FSX texture files.Frank
February 24, 201214 yr If you are going to run them through AIFP anyway, I don't see the advantage of using fs9 format.scott s..
