Airbus X Feelthere A320 merge help

Hi there,I've merged Aerosoft's Airbus X with Feelthere's vc (A320 IAE version) and everything is working like a charm with the exception of the exterior lights.Despite copying/pasting the "lights" entry from the Airbus X cfg they're out of place. I'm not sure if that's because they might be hardcoded in the feelthere vc model or if I did something wrong?!Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Pete

Hi Pete,To get an answer to this would depend on how many have merged the two said aircraft. If you want to post how you managed it, I will have a tinker with it myself.Cheers

WinWing FCU, EFIS, MCDU

I tried a while back and had problems that I could not fix so gave up as it was not worth the time. Have you tried the Project Airbus merge? very good models and an easy working merge.

I have merged it too with the PA, but wheels sink into the ground, so not sure what I did wrong there.

Did copy over the PA contact points?

I can't take credit for the merge at all, as a matter of fact as a recent fs9 convert I didn't even know you could merge vc's into other aircraft, I guess I'm getting old......that wasn't possible in fs9, so I didn't even look into it in fsx.Having said that, I simply followed the PA merge instructions in this thread http://forum.avsim.net/topic/322348-project-airbuswilco-merge/. I had to copy a few additional textures over, but everything - except the exterior lights not being aligned - works like a charm. I've been flying it all afternoon.Hope somebody can help.Cheers,Pete

If you correctly copied over the PA lights section then the lights will line as its the same model, so I would check again. I don't use them any more but I did have the A318/19/20/21 all working perfectly.

oops, my bad. I failed to state that since I'm merging the Airbus X, the instructions I followed I simply used the Airbus X instead of the PA data discribed in the linked thread and copied contact points, views, lights etc. from the Airbus X into the feelthere cfg and all is working fine but the exterior lights.Cheers,Pete

Is the merge simply to have a functional CDU or is there more to it?

The reason I merged the two was to get rid off the nasty Wilco exterior model.

Ok, got it. I'm looking forward to Aerosoft's update whenever that is. I fly both irregularly because they contain the best of two worlds with Wilco's functional CDU and VC but Aerosoft has the beautifully modeled VC and its lighting which beats Wilco's hands down.
