February 27, 201214 yr I would choose this:i5 2500KFor RAM, make sure you take RAM with tight timings, for example, at 1600 MHz you want to have CL7, not CL9. Tighter timings does nothing to framerate, but it will reduce stuttering, believe me on this. Same for the GTX 580, there is a difference in framerate, but not super big, it does also reduce stutters a little compared to GTX 560Ti.Have you already installed and tested your new CL7 RAM Arjen?
February 27, 201214 yr Have you already installed and tested your new CL7 RAM Arjen?Well, I lended some 4x2 2GB Mushkin CL7, and it definately did help to reduce stutters, it is smoother. No difference in framerate. Now I ordered my G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4 GB 1600 CL7 (7-8-7-24). Might take around 2 weeks for delivery. Also waiting for my EVGA GTX 580 DS Superclocked. Arjen Vandervelde

February 27, 201214 yr Author thanks all, i'll likely go to a man who will build my computer today, i will talk to him about all the suggestions, so the last thing that left to do is to buy the saitek pro yoke and rudders!(:my friends has them (the two of them) and i wanted to ask something about it without open a new topic, so my questions are:1. there's a 3 throttle's (sticks of the throttle) can i make two of them work one for every engine? currently on my friend just one of them controls on the two engines.2. is there's any other button that i can use to disengage the autopilot except for the red button on the back side, i want to use it for push to talk with the atc at vatsim.thanks!!(: Daniel choen
February 27, 201214 yr 1. there's a 3 throttle's (sticks of the throttle) can i make two of them work one for every engine? currently on my friend just one of them controls on the two engines.Sure, you can with the built in control asignments, or with FSUIPC (registered). With FSUIPC you can set profiles for different A/C2. is there's any other button that i can use to disengage the autopilot except for the red button on the back side, i want to use it for push to talk with the atc at vatsim. You can map any button to anything you want

February 27, 201214 yr thanks, should i buy fuipc to make the throttle reverse work? Not absolutely necessary for that (I think), but FSUIPC is worth every cent
February 27, 201214 yr Hi All, This topic is interesting to me but I dont know all the features mentioned. I know they say if you dont know you should learn but I am getting on in years and the learning curve is diminishing. I read a topic regarding the cores in the i7 cpu, that some of the cores in the Task Manager ran at idle, I inserted a fix whereby all the cores were active. Just an aside. Would some kind person tell me where I can find the Hyperthreading in the i7 920 so that I can see if it is running or not and where to disable same. Many Thanks.. richard welsh. Richard Welsh
February 27, 201214 yr Author Hey, today i went to a man who offered me two things, the 1 is more expensive.I7 quad core 950 Zalman Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 8Gb Kit (4G X2) CMX8GX3M2B1600C9 CL9 OCZ 60GB SSD – WD SATA 3 WD1001FALS 1TR – GTX560 TI – Hontkey 600 – DVD-RW - Case – 2.Cpu 2500k – Zalman - 8GB corsair – GTX 550/560 – WD 1TR SATA 2 –Gigabyte – PSU – Case – DVD-RW – .what is the different between the i7 5600k to the i7 950cpu? the man who i went to said that the i7 950 is batter for what i need. also can i just take the critical part like the i7/i5 2500/2600/950 and 8gb ram corsair the gtx560 and neglect the other's or are they important? Daniel choen
February 27, 201214 yr The I5 2500K is better than the I7 950 for FSX, and just about anything else really
February 27, 201214 yr Author ok guy's so one last favor please(: i will buy it tomorrow but i need you for the last thing.i will buy the i5 2500k, the corsair 8gb ram (4x2) and the gtx560, but what else, i mean i need a good motherboard (if it's important, and a good one that ain't gonna cost so much, and other things that important please please(: Daniel choen
February 27, 201214 yr Something like a P8Z68-V Gen3, or a P8Z68-V Pro Gen3 if you want a couple extra SATA ports and some other small things.Anything more expensive than that is not worth it IMHO.
February 27, 201214 yr Author so what you're saying is, that anything except for the processor and ram and the GPU don't have to be that good? Daniel choen
February 27, 201214 yr No Daniel, I was talking motherboards.Don't cheap out on things like the case or PSU. That doesn't mean that you need to get the biggest, pricier possible case and a 1000W PSU, just get quality ones sized accordingly to your other parts.Right now I would say the best bang for the buck for a FSX system would look something like this:I5 2500KP8Z68-V Gen3, or a P8Z68-V Pro Gen3GTX560TiCoolermaster 690 II Advanced or Coolermaster HAF 932 if you want a full towerCorsair TX650 or TX7508GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz RAMCM Hyper 212+, Scythe Mugen, Zalman CNPS10X Performa,...Samsung Spinpoint F3, or Caviar Blue/Black, or Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001Win 7 Home Premium 64b Edited February 27, 201214 yr by dazz
