February 27, 201214 yr Hello i would appriate comments from PMDG about this...will the go flight throttles work just using fsx assignments only! i cant seem to use the fsuipc so i dont want to use it! anyone use go flight throttles with fsx assignments without any problems????i really dont want buy the ngx if it doesnt work without complex inputs etc when trying to use a throttle quad! i find it hard to belive that this level of sim, (basically pretty much the same realistic software used in level d sims?) wasnt designed to be used with hardware!regardsJoe

But, if you're not using FSUIPC, I'm not sure how far you'll get. You don't need a registered version. Unregistered is fine. But, one of the key purposes of FSUIPC is to facilitate communication between controls an FSX. If you aren't able to use FSUIPC (what problem are you having?), then I can't say for sure whether they will work. If they don't, the NGX is not to blame. Sorry to pounce on this one, but it's not really fair to question the realism of the NGX if you're not using software as intended.
February 28, 201214 yr Moderator Joe,I've been running the NGX with go flight's throttle quadrant without any issues since day one. I do have FSUIPC registered as I calibrate all my controls through it.Cheers,Pete I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11

Instructions for calibration for the pmdg 747 to assign the flaps but it didn't work i found the instructions hard to understand ! Why can't just calibrate through fsx. assignments ?
February 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member FSX itself is too simple to understand descent hardware which is why FSUIPC was introduced by a man well respected for this very effort. You will need to spend time going through forums to find what you want. I did and I ended up getting what I needed. mycockpit.org is a great place to start for this kind of hardware, just sign up (for free) and get into their forums. I use Precision Flight Controls and have managed to finally calibrate my yoke, throttle console and 737NG throttle through FSUIPC. unfortunately what you are wanting setup requires some effort but once you get the hang of it you'll be well knowledged. I have configured for NGX and all is working great. Edited February 28, 201214 yr by kelvinr
February 28, 201214 yr Let me say first of all I wouldn't be without my GoFlight throttles. I'll even upgrade to the more realistic reverse thrusters, with TOGA button, when it's available.....but....I have had a problem configuring them as each throttle is marginally different. They probably shouldn't be, but mine are. What it means is to have two throttles assigned, one to each engine, each lever needs to be pushed forward differently. To have each throttle together may mean one engine having slightly less power when taking off, which can be compensated for by rudder input, but I would think that a little unrealistic. Yes, rudder input to compensate for crosswind, but not for power differential. It's more noticable when taxiing. One engine runs at say 23.4, the other at 22.8, causing drift toward the lower powered engine, which again can be compensated for with steering or rudder input.I now have mine configured so one throttle controls both engines. Not realistic, not perfect, but for me te only loss is the ability for power differential turns when required.Hope this helps........ February 28, 201214 yr Hi mates, just D.I.Y.An old command that was disassembled and reassembled in this quadrant made in home.It has the basics, flaps, parking and to-gaRegards. ATO VATMEX director, VATNA P1-P2 instructor (spanish), VATSIM 897455, more than 9000 hrs flight.
