Flight Clouds?

Recommended Posts

Ok I haven't been home to download and try Flight yet. I probably won't be home for another week, but I was wondering if they made any improvements to the clouds. Are they the same as FSX or are they really volumetric. I know the fog is much better. Also do VORs work and what about ILS? Can you communicate with other pilots via voice or text? Are the oceans wavs still flat? Can you fly through a cloud and have it NOT disappear behind you. Are there seasonal changes?(I know it's Hawaii) I'm just really enjoying how people are all of a sudden very positive about Flight. I hope it will become what we all have wanted for so long.

Clouds are bad.. really bad, like light blue nubs. Wather is like... plastic bag, VOR and ILS works but you have to buy aircraft equipped for IFR

The extreme weather themes are off the charts well done, but the fair weather clouds need to improve a lot. All in my own opinion of course.

I have to agree when it comes to the fair weather clouds: they don't look good at all. But when you load some serious weather, the clouds can be AWESOME. Try the RV6A landing mission number 4 and 5 and you will see those clouds (and indeed the fog) are great. When you enter fog, you don't fly through a sprite or something: it looks real and it's speeding past your airplane all the time. There are seasons but I haven't tried them yet: don't know if that will make a difference in Hawaii but it sure will in Alaska (which might well be one of the upcoming regions).EDITJust flew through the clouds in stormy weather: you are not flying through flat sprites that suddenly disappear: it's like flying through fog: you see the fog speeding towards you and when you look back you see it speeding past you, constantly. You are really INSIDE the clouds. Edited by J van E

Nah, no way Im going to buy any DLC for now. I want to try flight in IFR conditions, but its to expensive for such a limited environment. I mean, 2 VORs and 2 ILSs is just to little.

Clouds are bad.Judging from the preview pics, I cant believe MS will leave those clouds in place long. Its like smearing a Porsche with peanut butter. The whole experience is downgraded.I would bet that if it was possible to do substitutions in the FLIGHT! .Pak files, there would be threads galore on dumping those clouds for something better.
