March 17, 200422 yr It's good to see the forums and the library working again :-)Now I just tried a flight from Milan to Stuttgart on the first day of spring, and at about 100 miles or so south of Stuttgart FS2004 crashes! No warning or anything! I went through the whole winter without a CTD now they are back :-madI wish Microsoft would issue a patch for this!
March 17, 200422 yr Hmmm,The first day of spring (at least in the U.S.) is on March 20... that's still 3 days away. I wonder if this has anything to do with the problem. Does spring start earlier in Europe?Regards,Marc
March 17, 200422 yr I believe MSFS has "dynamic" dates for the spring cutovers - allowing the sim to smoothly roll the snow back one area at a time. I've noticed that unlike FS2002, when ALL of New England seemed to go from snow to clear, FS2004 gradually rolls it northward. Perhaps this is his first day of the season at his location. Either way, I'd say these CTD's were expected - seasonal transitions seem to be a REAL (not imagined) problem for FS2004, especially when addons.-Greg
March 17, 200422 yr I wasn't trying to start anything with this thread, I was just frustrated that this is happening and wanted to vent. I flew this same route about a week or two ago with no problems. And so everyone knows, I changed the date to the first day of spring manually. :-)
March 17, 200422 yr Hi,As I stated in a thread a little way down, there is an easy fix for this problem, but I wanted to know what impact this fix had (if any) on the visuals in FS.Does anyone know?.Dan.
