Settings for FS Water Configurator?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anybody had any good settings for the water configurator. I seem to be getting square textures in certain areas of the world in my oceans, like key west and I read somewhere that fs water configurator can help.

I dont know if FSWC can help, but my favorite preset is the Orion one. I've tried them all and even experimented with my own settings, but I found that the Orion preset seems to look about as realistic as possible and fixes the horrible milky water reflections at night when the moon is out.

I had problems with squares in water too. I fixed them by upping the FSWC Base Texture Colour Intensity value to 100%. Here are my full settings:Horizon Reflection Intensity: 14%Vertical Reflection Intensity: 3%Reflection Blend Curve Multiplier: 1Reflection Blend Curve Intensity: 80%Base Texture Colour Intensity: 100%Sun Specular Reflection Intensity: 60%Moon Specular Reflection Reflection Intensity: 40%Moon Glow Reflection Intensity: 20%These also get rid of the milky water at night. The Sun Specular Reflection Intensity may still be a little high, and I'm thinking of lowering it.I should say I use these in conjunction with FEX/UTX water textures, with UTX water set to brown/algae. They may not work (as well) with other textures.
