March 3, 201214 yr After several unsuccessful attempts to associate a credit card with my new Windows/Xbox Live account, I was about to give up on getting the Flight expansion packs. Finally, on my third chat with a MS Customer Rep, they suggested I buy the points from Amazon. You can actually get a code for 1600 points from Amazon for $18.99 (a dollar cheaper than MS). I made 2 orders - the first took an hour to process and Amazon actually called me to confirm when I ordered a second one. I guess the teeny-bobbers that MS is trying to target for Flight have a bad habit of stealing other people's credit card information. Anyway, just throwing this out there for any others that may run into problems... make sure to order the "online game code" version to avoid having to wait for a card to come in the mail. When you get the code, you can redeem it in the account section when logged into Windows/Xbox Live. Edited March 3, 201214 yr by MadDog
March 3, 201214 yr I also had quite some problems getting the points.... I had an old GFWL account and my credit card information needed updating. The links from within MS Flight all led to dead sites...!?!? I had to Google for information about changing your information and it took quite some time before I found some Xbox (???) site on which I could login and eventually update my information... Luckily I only had to do this once (well, again when my cc expires) and now I am ready for new DLC... But it wasn't easy and quite annoying.Still, I like the idea that this is it. I don't have to login to any other online shops with loads of various logins etc. to get my next MSF DLC...
March 3, 201214 yr Points, you don't need no stinken points. Go to pcgames-Xbox.com and click on the picture of the game (flight). then buy all or any.
March 3, 201214 yr Moderator MS is slowly phasing out the Point system. In a few months it will all be credit/debit/PayPal driven. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
