Problems downloading 757/767 sound package

Featured Replies

Anyone else having problems? I've downloaded it 4 or 5 times, sit through the download--it's over 30MB--and then when it's finished there's nothing in the folder except a Readme file. billg

No problem here Panda. Downloaded it on the 15th. and am very pleased with it.Russell.

thx for the reply Russel. Just tried again with a different computer and got the same thing. Argh, that's weird. Hmmm...billg

Same thing here, downloaded it but nothing but thr read me

Hi,I'm not sure just what sound package you guys are having trouble with. But I'd thought I'd let you know that I use what I what I think is an awesome sound pack for 757-767-777's and I use it for all those models. It's at fs.com.. a.k.a. all-nodes-busy. Anyway, the filename for it is:777sndu1.zipIt's pretty large... about 25 MB's. Check it out if you want.Regards,Jim

The one i tried was by Des Braban, right here at avsim. No sound files. Funny thing is before I unzip it, if i drag my mouse over the zip file, it shows the files in there, but when I unzip it I get nothing but the read me

Wow,that took some doing. 1hr.4min. My connection is really crawling tonight. (it only took 7min. first time) But it's all there, all 30.6mb of the 757/767 sound package. Strange why it's not coming thro' for you Panda and Macman.Russell.

Hi,Ok, with the name of the author given I was able to download the file(767sndpkg.zip) and I unzipped it. Worked for me. 64 files in the zip and they all unzipped ok. Sorry, don't know why Panda and Macman are having trouble either. :-hmmmJim

Mine did the same thing yesterday... shows 30MB but nothing in it.. I opted for another one instead.Chris

I got it to work today. Go figure:D

it turns out that the download section is messed up. That would explain it. Hmmmm, changed my homepage from www.avsim.com to www. f*****sim.com. I'm patient, but we all have our limits...billg

"I'm patient, but we all have our limits..."Thanks for your support and understanding. And folks wonder why freeware authors go to payware, get out the hobby, etc. It is churlish posts like this that do it, I am sure.

I'm sorry Tom. Haven't had my coffee yet. I know you guys are trying and I appreciate it. I really do. That was a low blow, and uncalled for. You're right, it was churlish. Argh....billg

with his tail between his legs, Bill changes his homepage back to www.avsim.com. Where it's always been. billg

Yup... I shouldn't write before having my first shot of caffiene either. It has been a rather frustrating week for all of us, and to have a brand new drive go belly up hours after an expensive installation process, well, it doesn't do our attitude much good. So, let's set this aside and move on. We're working it as fast as our consultant UNIX guru can get there (he's got a full time job too), and we'll be back online sooner or later. We hope everyone do like we are; just take a deep breath, and it will get fixed.
