March 5, 201214 yr Hello,I run Flight on a portable PC with Core i3-2310M 2.10 GHz, integrated HD 3000 mobile graphics, 3GB. It works !I am searching Internet to find an optimal config (not a recommanded one), the reference site seems to be http://community.fut...k.com/hardware/ . I find the following for current products:CPU- i5-2400 - optimal- i5-2500K - if you want overclocking for other softwares. Not needed for Flight.- i7-2600 - OK. Not needed for Flight.GPU- AMD Radeon HD 6870 - optimal- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti - optimal- all graphics cards better than the preceding ones. Not needed for Flight.Memory- 8 GB or moreDisplay- Asus PA238Q 23"- EIZO FORIS FS2332 23"An available config with i5-2500K, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 8GB, Win 7 Premium will cost 1000 euros here (PC Hardware).Dell has a XPS 8300 Extreme (i7-2600, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 12GB) available for 1200 euros (from 2000 euros with a 40% reduction). Are these machines worth the price? (these prices included monting and delivery, without display). Thanks for your help. I want to be a VFR simmer.
March 5, 201214 yr I think you're more than safe with either CPU config, as long as the graphics card handles it .Hope this won't turn into some sort of a "my rig is tha b3st" flame, but Flight works as advertised. I've got a mid-range system - quad core 3.2GHz Phenom (B55, x2 CPU unlocked as x4), 4Gig DDR3 1600 and one old 9800GT nVidia card - works flawless with all settings set to High (not max), with some visible (but not annoying) FPS stutter in some conditions (already described in here).

March 13, 201214 yr Author I confirm my selection of graphics card to run Flight at High plus Maximal settings.Selection using Futuremark data and 3DMark over 4000: 1. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (3DMark 4700 - $234 - 3DMark Score / Price: 20) the most popular graphics card (tested with Flight) 2. AMD Radeon HD 6870 (3DMark: 4240 - $169 - 3DMark Score / Price: 25) best priceIf one can confirm the use of the AMD Radeon HD 6870 with Flight, please do. I want to be a VFR simmer.
March 13, 201214 yr I have two 5870's sitting in the "probably will never ever use again" old PC Parts collection bin.. I hated that card.. Get a 6000 series instead, may be a little more but the 6000 series were a great line.. I adore my 6990. :) ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
