Problem with pressure at cruise altitude

Featured Replies

HelloMy MD11 can't climb to planned cruise altitude (FL330 for example) with STD altimeter (29.92). It stops climbing at ~32700ft with 29.92, but when I switch standard 29.92 by pressing "B" to local altimeter pressure (30.28 in this case) I can see correct altitude on altimeter.29.92przechwytywanieax.png30.28przechwytywanie1e.pngI'm using ASE for weather. I tried to reinstall but without effect.FSINN weather DISABLED.I have no idea how I can fix this.Best regardsPaweł

That is the way it works, try pulling the BARO knob to set STD. See also system manual AUTO 30.14

Thats strange, usually when you press "B" above 18000 feet it changes to 29.92 (or 1013). I only get the local pressure when I am below 18000 feet. Have you checked FSUIPC's weather options? Another possibility is (which I don't think you did) is that you changed to STD (29.92) after you came up to FL330 because then the aircraft is in altitude hold mode, it says so in the PFD. If you switch pressure after you arrive at cruise it would explain the problem. If the problem still is there you could enter VS mode with something like 100 feet/minute and the aircraft should stop at the correct altitude. Hope this helps.Manfred
