The Maule is and has been my favorite plane in FSX. I get this plane, jump in and "WOW"... the freaking Autopilot is non existant. WTH? Rudder deflection makes the plane almost impossible to slip. Also, while I'm at it, how do you access a map when on a job? Where are the VORs?I just paid 20 bucks for the Hawaii scenery and am left scratching my head. IMHO this is not a flight sim anymore. I'm suspect MSFT will add autopilot to Flight - no idea when, but probably not too long. The good part about not having A/P this early in the release is rolling up your sleeves and flying - the model seems to be better than ever and nailing the landings are quite a challenge unlike what I've experienced in FSX - give it good wringing without the AP and see what you think. ..

I can slip fine in the Maule.. Do you have the easy flight characteristics checked by chance?

You can't access the map while on a "job".If I'm flying to an APT. with a VOR, I write it down.If I'm flying to one that doesn't; I pick the nearest one and check the radial/distance to the Dest. Apt.There is a link somewhere in this mass of posts that has a nice scaleable sectional for the Hiwaiian Islands.As a Last resort, I use IFR (I follow roads).BTW, what is it that when flying at night, there is always a hill before the threshold; that I swear isn't there in daylight!! :Hypnotized:

You wont. I pulled 45 positive G's coming out of the dive after getting the Mach 1 achievement in the P-51.
