FSX Minimizes when ActiveSky 6.5 does an update.

Featured Replies

Hi All,I've just recently installed FSX (SP2 and Acceleration), and when ActiveSky 6.5 does a weather update FSX will minimize automatically. I am able to get it back, but it is annoying on final to have it happen. Here is some additional info:'Pause on task switch' is disabled, FSX does not pause just minimizes.I also run FS9 with AS6.5, it does not happen there.I run both FS9 and FSX in Full Screen.I use Comodo AV in 'Gaming Mode' so it doesn't interfere.I also use Gamebooster 1.6 to kill off all services and programs not needed (with both FS9 and FSX)Resolution 1280x1024 32 , using dual monitors, both have same resolution (both FS9 and FSX)Thanks for any suggestions!!

Did it ever do it before (I assume you had AS65 running then also) FSX Accl?Did you try windowed mode as a test?Without game booster?Lastly .. why did you have to reinstall FSX?

Hi VonmarI've been away from FS for a few years. I've re-imaged my PC many times over so my FS installations from years ago are gone. Just last month I re-installed FS9, and installed FSX over the weekend to start messing with that too.I never used AS65 a few years ago with FSX (only FS9), just used FSX built in online-weather. Windowed mode I have not tried yet, i'll give that a go.Without gamebooster same behaviour.

"I've re-imaged my PC many times"Does this mean you reinstalled your OS on a new or newly reformatted hard drive? What are your system specs?

Jason, did you ever find a solution to this? My FSX all of the sudden started doing it with REX.
