Flight long term

Featured Replies

I have been playing Flight, since it was released, and really enjoy the GA flying.I do, however, see a problem with any attempt to add ATC and AI.Most players that I have observed, attempt to take off from wherever they spawn.regardless if that is a runway, parking spot,...etc.I see chaos ahead if ATC is added.I guess "private" sessions is the only answer to this. I've already hadplayers attempt to "ram" me while I am trying to complete a mission. .Or different servers for "hardcore" or "casual" players, much likeMMOs do with PK and non-PK servers.RB

The only thing to do right now is to attempt to form a flying "group/club" and make the sessions private (as you mentioned).Kids, of all ages, will be kids. It's fun for some of them to crash a plane into another one. There's not much you can do about it in an open session, except "report" the little (or big) darlings. To be honest, I attempted to fly "close" to another player a few times. I wasn't trying to hit them though, I just wanted to let him/her know I was there. Its hard to "text" and fly at the same time! LOL!

If I recall correctly, you are using the mouse as yoke. Then I understand, going from the text screen back to flying causes a loss of aircraft control. One workaround is to hit "space" before texting, afterwards close text screen and "space" again.

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

No "mouse" flying for me my friend. I'm a Yoke and Rudder man all the way! <wink> I was refering to flying "close" to someone, trying to text (hands off yoke) and not hit them.

If there will ever be ATC in the game, I doubt it will be working in multi-player. Better said, I am 99,99% sure it won't. Problem solved. :wink:And if you don't want someone to ram you during a mission, don't fly online! I have not flown online yet at all: there is no need to if you don't want to. Another problem solved!

"Oddly" enough, I've noticed that, while the Big Island airports are a madhouse, players taking off or landing at airports on the other islands have a much greater tendency to operate appropriately to real-world standards.
