March 15, 201214 yr Commercial Member Well, the most promising graphic thing is that it uses OpenGL and not DirectX :smile:I really hope this project wil go straight forward! What is promising about that? DirectX is way ahead of OpenGL in terms of what it can do at this point - all the big games use DX. (BF3, Crysis etc)By my personal experience, everything I run under OpenGL works smoother and better. I tried several games and programs that allow me to switch between these libraries and I clearly see a huge increase in performance using OpenGL. Sebastiano Piscitello Air France VA, KLM 737 Captain

(BF3, Crysis etc)I agree that DirectX is far ahead when it comes to features and ease of programming. OpenGL does of course have the advantage that it can run on multiple platforms. Not that there are many gamers on other platforms than windows. And how exactly would it work anyways, when addon plane makers wants to write their own custom modules ... is it possible to multiplatform that? Perhaps, if they use some sort of a virtual machine for the module interface. Johan Pettersen
