March 14, 201214 yr Can confirm someone, that the retracted lights are will be switch off after Takeoff in real world? I ask another pilot of an Airbus, he say yes we do, 'cause if the lights are out and the bird gets speed they rumble and make noise. On YouTube there are videos of a F/O of tuifly and he dont switch on the retracted lights on takeoff. Maybe Day/Night? Is this are an operator issue?The fixed landing lights are on to fl100.Greetings SwenIt's Boeing procedure to switch on the Main landing lights on entering the runway and when starting the takeoff roll,..turn on the retractable landing lights.You can't compare Airbus and Boeing procedure,..whole different can of worms,..and yes,..what you are talking about are operator specific.
