Bryan: I was an ecstatic user of your iFly version.However I am having real trouble getting the PMDG version setup.I have allocated the buttons, and also have gone through and hopefully ensured that there is no conflict with the PMDG key assignments. If necessary I can happily delete them as I fly essentially without using the keyboard.However I can find no entry on the panel cfg in the locations you mentioned. If I am correct the only full version of these is in the -800 wide and the -800 (normal screen) folders ... all the others are aliased of course.What should be the entry in the panel.cfgs and where in the cfg document. I would have no problem doing this manually if you could give me the lines.

Hi John,Please do this:1. Open the FS2Crew NGX Config Manager.2. Press Enable Button or Enable Voice.3. Do not enable both. You can only pick one. A pop up box will say "FS2Crew XXXX enabled"4. You can confirm that FS2Crew was indeed added to your panel.cfg by looking at it here with notepad:Microsoft Flight Simulator XSimObjectsAirplanesPMDG 737-800NGXpanelpanel.cfgNote: The NGX only uses 1 panel.cfgDo you see FS2Crew window entries in the top Window Titles entries?If so, FS2Crew is attached to your NGX.I suspect the problem is you're trying to enable button and voice and cancelling both out at the same time.

But you will not be surprised to learn that after one presses the Enable FS2Crew Button Control, I found it a little disarming to find a checkbox with an X in it and the words Disable FS2C etc. Naturally I wanted a check mark or a tick, with the result of course I disabled the utility. Ah well. Sorry.Now that I have learned to handle that all is perfect. It is running as sweetly as the iFly version. I have also enabled a hardware button to enable and disable the window and that is a great idea.I am sure I will have more amateur bleats soon, but right now all is well.

John,Glad you got it sorted.In Hot Fix 1, I'm updating the Config Manager to eliminate any possibilities for confusion.FYI, the package includes both "Voice" and "Button" control.... so you have both, and you can switch between both.Cheers,

That's interesting I only have the Button option available. There is no Voice option as there was on the iFy version. I am sure that I opted for the Button version when I installed, not both.

Oh dear, oh dear, Bryan yes I do. Because my concentration is only on Button Control I didn't take note of the Voice option and I most certainly never pressed Voice Control by choice or by action.No my problem was repressing the Button Control enable switch and turning it back off again.Ian, the Scottish word for John.It is so long since I used the FS2Crew option, as I have been experimenting with P3D, but have returned to FSX to enjoy the PMDG and FS2; which I am!

Hi there,Just "tagging" onto Ian's last comment there - I too have been experimenting with P3D and wonder if *anyone* has had any joy / effort in setting up FS2Crew with the NGX in P3D?I have tried with limited success, but of course I am no expert in doing these things. I managed to get FS2Crew to register in P3D and even get the Configuration Manager to register the button control option successfully, but when switching to the NGX (aircraft) in P3D I got a CTD.I am not sure of it's due to the Gauge (or similar!?) not being trusted and so on - I'll admit I was fiddling really but I don't know where to go from here so I have kind of just left it / backed away. (I am pondering though on a solution based on guesses to what the problem might be)It's a shame because P3D seems to be rock-solid and I've managed to get most other add-ons / hardware to work (albeit with workaround in place) resulting in a wonderfully stable experience. Too many times has FSX arbitrarily "punished" me for no apparent reason with a CTD. But as I am sure many will attest to:The PMDG NGX cockpit (like the iFly) is a lonely place without FS2Crew.....Sorry Ian to hijack your thread - I hadn't actually plucked up enough courage to even post about this to be honest. I am hoping I won't get my wrists smacked by Bryan for trying to get FS2Crew working in P3D.What can I say? Addicts do irrational things sometimes!Thank you.Kind regards,James Gillies

Hi James,FS2Crew does not currently work in P3D. I've tested it.There's a tiny, tiny issue with it that I know about, and if enough NGX users start moving to P3D, I'll make a P3D update.Cheers,

Hi Bryan,Thanks very much indeed. I will live in hope, and without FS2Crew for the time being as I think I will be staying with P3D. For any "inconveniences" currently in P3D like managing the fight planning and so on, I can deal with it in exchange for a stable, reliable flight. And.... I will get DirectX11 and modern hardware support in due course too. So with that in mind I will keeping supporting LM and P3D in anticipation of these two features. If it sways any decision either way, I am prepared (no pun intended!) to pay for a P3D license upgrade, I don't expect it for free. And of course if it is such a "tiny, tiny" problem and you have a free Sunday afternoon then I'd be more than happy to beta test an update for you. ;-)Many thanks for your response in any case on this matter, I really appreciate it.
