Signing out of Live

Featured Replies

I am curious on some things regarding the signing out of Live, or inability really to do so.Ok, first - according to the manual, one should be able to play without signing in to Live by simply skipping the sign in process. This is currently not possible - sure you can press home on the keyboard, and in the Live menu, choose to sign out. But when you do, you are then prompted that the current user has signed out, and Flight needs to be restarted. Once restarted, if you try and choose play, it brings the Live sign in screen up again, and you have to sign in. As far as I know, the only workaround for this is for one to disable their internet connection completely - that is not satisfactory to me. Understand at least from my perspective, I don't mind being signed in, as I want to continue to accumulate my stats/rewards, etc... But the manual says you can do this, so by golly one should be able to.Secondly, when you exit the sim after playing whilst signed in - what happens with being signed in to Live? Does Live automatically sign you out because you have exited the sim ? Does it sign you out after a certain period of inactivity whilst not playing the sim? Or do you stay signed in to your Live account always after exiting the sim until you shut down the pc?Just curious about the above...

1) I have seen others say that simply hitting the 'X' on the sign in page will skip sign in. I haven't tried it myself.2) Assuming you are not signed into the GFWL application (and maybe even if you are), you are signed out when you exit any GFWL enabled game.

When the beta was about to end we were allowed to keep playing Flight without full sigining in to LIVE.Apparently logging in to LIVE is a 2 step process. One so that the game loads your local profile and other things, and the other to synchronize to the LIVE servers.Yes you can play FLight without LIVE internet connection, (unplug your connector to try it)

Unplug your connector cable, start Flight and when the LIVE connector fails, then click the "X", you will be able to play Flight, without LIVE conection.https://skydrive.liv...AKF_YKqbfb10YoIIt's in Spanish, and not connected. If Only I could get the image to display here (Can someone help with this?)

Yes I understand disabling the internet connection is a way around that - again, I don't mind being signed in to Live to play - but I am sure there are some that would prefer to play offline, and imho it should be as it states in the manual. Thanks for the feedback though, if I was one that did mind I would certainly do that!

I didn't unplug my Internet. I just set my security software to not allow GFWL access. I don't remember which specific program had to be blocked, but there was only one.Hook
