March 13, 201214 yr Hello, I've been receiving some warnings in my default helicopters on FSX (I have no addon helicopters), and as soon as I start the flight, a warning starts flashing on the panel about "ROTOR LOW RPM". This generally means that I can't get off the ground whatsoever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin L
March 13, 201214 yr if its the Robinson you may have to wait for the rotor to match engine speed - when they settle down the low rpm light will go out - can take a few moments. If you start with auto engine start keys then just wait until low rpm light goes out.The jet ranger I have forgot - use the Dodosim ranger - more real. All the bestdmb
March 14, 201214 yr Author Thanks for your help! I'm considering the Dodosim Jetranger- looks amazing! Thanks, Kevin L
March 14, 201214 yr I don't know whether you're aware, but the throttle lever on your controller usually is hooked up as the 'propeller axis' i.e it becomes the collective pitch control, with a second slider devoted to the throttle. This second slider is used to bring the rpm up to the correct rpm (usually a green arc), with lift being provided by gently increasing the collective pitch.Yes - the Dodo Ranger is still the very best helicopter on the market. The authenticity is head and shoulders above all others. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 14, 201214 yr If you get the Low RPM warning on any FSX Helicopter, just hold down CTRL+F4 and it will sent max RPM and clear the warning.
