March 13, 201214 yr Hi guysI remember that in FSX there was a button to press so the cockpit (instrument view) would vanish and have a front view with no instrument showing. Is there such a button or combinations of buttons in Flight? and what is it called? I want to program the "trigger" button of my joystick just for that because in approach you want to see the landing lights but as the nose is up you can't see them or the runway so clearing the front view with a preset button would be very helpful.stelios Stelios Christofides
March 13, 201214 yr MS Flight doesn't have such a view. Well... it does sometimes, because I managed to get that view once in the RV6 when I cycled though all views with F7. I did get the so called 'Cinematic view'. However, 1. this view can't be found in any list and so you can't assign a key to it, and 2. it doesn't work always. Maybe it's got to do something with doing missions or free flight, but I haven't been able to get that view on every aircraft and also not everytime in the RV6...
March 13, 201214 yr Cinematic View is available on some Stearman Challanges, and I guess also on the Maule and RV-6A challanges (haven't done them all) Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 13, 201214 yr you can move the eyepoint by an extreme amount, it is possible to place it outside of the fuselage and then you won't see the plane.
March 13, 201214 yr Moderator There's no Cameras.cfg definition for this "Cinematic View" so it must be something unique to a mission or challenge script. There is a "Screenshot View" definition in the Cameras.cfg file, but it is hidden from the Cycle, and there's no keyboard assignment for it. March 14, 201214 yr Well, if you want this view, and I understand the desire to get a large unobstructed vista, just download the Mustang. Then, when you fly it, pressing F9 gives you exactly this kind of view. Some posters have viewed the Mustang as restricting one to an outide-the -aircraft piloting situation, but not true. F9 gives you the wide open vista forward, and the heads-up display gives enough info for reasonable flying. I use the joystick hatswitch to pan around, and "backspace" snaps the view back to straight ahead.
