March 14, 201214 yr Hello,Been given PIC 737 and have tried it out and so far everything has worked out except the ILS landing. On approach after selecting the localiser button I get the message in FMC "RWY/APP crse error" and we sail right over Heathrow at 2500 feet!So my set up is Birmingham to Heathrow to land 09L no star involved. On the MCP the course selector is 093 which tallies with the information in the map section for this runway and the frequency to 110.300 is auto set on the radios from the pedestal. The localiser and glidescope are alive, but this error message keeps appearing. I do select the localiser and approach and CMD 2 autopilot button as per the guides I found on the net.The plane is configured correctly to land, flaps, auto brake, speed etc everything else about the sim is fine. The FMC plan shows runway 09L as selected and VREF is correct. Nothing apparently wrong or missing in the FMCI know I must have missed something simple, but what?!!Any ideas fellas.ThanksJohn John York EGLL
March 26, 201214 yr Not sure what you have missed as I am still using the first version but RWY/APP crse error is usually (in Wilco) the approach shown in the cockpit differing from what is in the FMC by a degree or so. Click up and down a couple of degrees or so or get the correct angle from init ref and the message shouls disappear when you hit the right number. William Hall
March 26, 201214 yr On approach after selecting the localiser button I get the message in FMC "RWY/APP crse error" and we sail right over Heathrow at 2500 feet!this FMC error is advisory, and will not override the autopilot capturing and following the ILS. some other setting is causing your ILS issue.-- D. March 28, 201214 yr The course set on the MCU/AP and the course for the rwy that FMC is displaying in the INIT page do not agree or FSX rwy heading for the ILS is different. That is generaly what gives this error. I get this by using FSX's approach data and it doesn't agree with the modern RW data. You MUST use the FSX data. ArDee
