Cold and Dark

Featured Replies

GuysI have searched but cannot find it.How do I get to a panel state of cold and dark automatically when I start from 'Fly Now' in FSX.SoI have my 737 and my departure airport but I want to come into a cold and dark machine and not need to go to the FMC and load it from there. The other question isIf I have a cold and dark machine and it is dark, like night time how can I see the switches to start off with?Thx Ian

Read the intro manual, and you'll find it....but I'll still tell you because I'm nice on occasion. When you first see the FMC, you'll see FS ACTIONS and PMDG OPTIONS at the bottom right. Select PMDG OPTIONS and it will quite literally smack you in the face with the option you're looking for. Also, for night prep from C/D, there's a dome light in the middle of the upper part of the overhead. If you're using a shader mod, you may have to remember its position and stab around for it (much like you stab around for a light switch in your house at night). Alternatively, you can turn off the shader mod (if it's the ENBSeries) using SHIFT+F12. The same keystroke will toggle it back on.

I think Ian is asking how to load the cold and dark panel state by default, not switch to it after loading the plane the first time. I too have been tring to figure this out. By default the PMDG 737 loads with systems running. Is there a way to set it up so that no matter where you are, the first time its loaded into FSX it loads in the cold and dard state by default?

as mention above its in the introduction manual, if you go to your fmc and select cold and dark save it for you next flights thats all you need to do, and it should start from cold and dark as mine does.
