Just a quick question, when I press Shift+E the aft main exit opens, but when I press Shift+E+2, it opens the same door. I know the aircraft.cfg must be edited but I'm not sure the actual section I should edit. Thanks for the help.

I think you will find that this has been a long time problem with both FS9 and FSX. It does not occur on just the PA46T, but on many aircraft so I don't think it is tied just to the PA46T's aircraft.cfg.For me, the problem comes and goes. It seems after a long flight, the cargo doors won't open, but when I first select an aircraft, the exits other than the main exit will open just fine. On the PA46T, I have noticed the front cargo door usually opens when the parking brake off. It's a mystery.

Thanks for the quick reply. That makes sense to me because I have had similar problems with other add-on aircraft. It's just odd to me that no matter which Shift+E+X, X being 1,2,3,4, etc., I press on the P46T, it always opens the aft main exit. I went on and checked to see if it was happening with any other aircraft and it seems only this one is giving me any real problems.

This problem usually happens to the more complex aircraft like the PA46T which demand more resources from your computer. There was an addon guage that was available for FS9 that you could use to open your doors instead of key strokes, but I don't know if it would work in FSX or not.Another suggestion I have seen in the forums is to hit the SHIFT + E keys toghether, then release them and immediately hit the 2 key. Don't hit all three keys at the same time. Try that and see if that helps. I have found on my computer, it doesn't help.Bill

I see, I usually do hit shift+e then 2, not all three, I just assumed thats what I meant by Shift+E+2, nevertheless I tried it without the parking break on and it worked! thanks for the help.

I have this problem now also, but I noticed this happened after I installed TrackIR... Not sure if that has anything to do with it though...

hi, i since fs9 replace the exit doors keystroke in the settings with lets say Q and Open the second exit in fs with Q+2 . never had problems after that again. Shift allways meant troubles. hope that helps.

And don´t forget that you cannot open the doors when parking near refueling - spots!

That´s kinda bug / limitation in FSX ... just doesn´t work!

Can anyone tell me how to get the chocks and power unit out? I had trouble with the cargo door but you kind folk have fixed that for me.
