March 19, 201214 yr Is it still recommended to leave this off with the new Beta SP?Before, having it checked was preventing accurate updates to the clouds in the sim, but I would like to use it for some smooth transitions to different conditions. Without it checked, the different conditions just pop in instantaneously.Anyone been using it since beta SP with good results? Dave Creed

March 21, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the feedback Michael. Are you still finding the weather updating accurately with prevent cloud redraw checked? The problem before was that it prevented re-draws, but it also prevented the weather updating to accurately reflect conditions, specially at destination. Dave Creed
March 23, 201214 yr DaveI don't feel qualified to give an opinion on updated weather at the destination airport except for wind and altimeter. Those two items agree with the current METAR from NOAA or what is on 122.025. Sometimes 122.025 lags behind the METAR depending on the download interval. Mind is set to 15 minutes so most of the time the METAR and 122.025 agree.Michael Cubine Michael Cubine

However on approach you could see scattered cloud sat down on the runway. On advice from Damian I have deselected the 'prevent cloud redraws' but as yet have had little chance to verify the result.
