Correct flow for short turnaround

Featured Replies

Hi! I have a question that im not sure if its a problem or not, when im flying from a to b and then just deboard pax and board again and then away to c, what is the correct flow? When i just do the shutdown procedure and then go directly to the before start flight checklist. Then when im trying to tell the fo to start the engines he says that we are not configured... And another problem I have is what to select if i want the ext pwr connected until shortly before pushback and then apu, if i select apu he starts the apu the first thing he does, and if i select ext pwr he refuses to start the apu... Any suggestions? :-PNiklas

Haven't tried any turnarounds myself yet but I'm interested in this too if there is an issue since I'll be doing lots of turnarounds further down the road.I'm also interested in the GPU/APU procedure since the procedure you describe using GPU until shortly before departure when you switch over to using the APU is commonly used IRL and my experience like yours is this procedure is currently a little bit hard to replicate in FS2Crew.

Here is my 2 cents:What I do is run the complete preflight procedure again. I click on the run PF, straight after arrival and shutdown checklist. The first 10 minutes you can directly skip by clicking on the minutes counter in the FS2Crew window. You can go directly to the moment the when the FO returns from the walk-around (+19), that's when he actually starts to configure the flight deck. While he's doing that you have to configure for the next sector the CDU, take all clearances (if online) and have a second to enjoy the scenery (if you have added something new:). You will be done more or less the same time with the F/O, so you can go through the preflight checklist with him. The last 10 minutes or so can be skipped as well, just be ready by minute +8 to say thank you to the ground agent and another thank you to your FA at +1...
