March 23, 201214 yr Hello all, Ive just jumped into a multi monitor set up using 2xGTX 580 3GBs in Sli and 3 LG 23" monitors but I need some help to get it set up properly in FSX. The problem I have is that within the virtual cockpit it is like I am sitting too close to the front of the plane and I can barely see out the window or see any of the buttons and instruments. I have zoomed out to the max FSX allows (0.30) and have changed the fsx.cfg file to show WideViewAspect=True but this has had no effect. Ive attached a screen shot to show what I am talking about. The resolution in FSX is the same as the desktop at 5760x1080.I really hope someone can help as I am doing my nut at the moment trying to figure it out! :sad:ThanksDanEdit: Nvidia drivers are the latest at 296.10
March 23, 201214 yr I feel for you because i had the same problem.I had 3 24" monitors setup with eyeinfinity and it lasted 2 hours before i returned everything.I was told that either you're looking out the window or at the gauges, not both at once.If you want to see both you have to double up the monitors on top(6 in total) or buy big monitors(30" plus). The cfg was applied as well and the zoom was limited as it is for you.Maybe someone else can shed some light on this but i have returned to a sibgle 30" HD 1920x1200 and i'm very satisfied.Good luck :(
March 23, 201214 yr Author Thats disappointing! Ive seen many YouTube set ups with it working so not sure what I am doing wrong. Don't have this problem in MS Flight (which is a cack game anyway) nor crysis.
March 23, 201214 yr Hey Dan, clearly the setup does work, but I guess it just needs a bit of patience and some help from someone around here. Good luck, wish I could help. March 23, 201214 yr Hi Dan- it definitely works, I have run a similar setup for some time now. I remember having the same initial FOV problem for which the WideViewAspect=True statement was the answer. Maybe rebuild your FSX.cfg and try the statement again? I also found ezDok cameras to be perfect for the final positional tweaking for surround. My resolution is 6096x1200 using bezel correction.Sean
March 24, 201214 yr Have you enabled wideview=True in your cfg file? I have a feeling you haven't, because when I first set up my rig I had the same problem. Once you change this setting you can use the zoom keys to fiddle around til you get the view you like.
March 24, 201214 yr Author FIXED!! For some reason I had two copies of FSX on my system, one on C drive and one on D drive. Deleted the the D drive install and the FOV is now fixed. Thanks all, I am now very happy :)

March 24, 201214 yr That's why:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/329986-hardware-drivers-threads-please-read/I guess I'm still just a softie, other mods just lock the threads so be happy I didn't.
