April 4, 200422 yr For those of us that have reserved sim time at the UA simulator farm at the Denver conference:Regardless of the a/c we get to "fly" there, I wonder what our reactions will be when we return to FS?- Will the experience make us favor that particular aircraft (having now actually almost really flown one) in FS?- Will we try flying that particular aircraft only to get frustrated at the limitations of a non-motion 2D desktop sim, and never use that aircraft again? How do you all think this experience might change us? :)Food for thought...Bruce. April 4, 200422 yr I think we will appreciate even more greatly what an incredible experience we get at a fraction of the cost of the Ual simulator....(Just out your way last week-Breckenridge...)http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

April 4, 200422 yr Author Normal reaction when getting in the "real" sim is, "This is easier than FS!" Maily because you have more "feel", and it's easier to look around (you just turn your head.) If you get a chance to land at Kai Tak (if it's still in the d/:( you'll be surprised how much easier it is than in FS. :) BobK
April 4, 200422 yr I agree. I had the good fortune to be invited to the SAS Academy 767 sim at Arlanda (stockholm, Sweden) and the fullmotion along with the superior visual cues was great. The "problematic" thing was that I had problems finding levers, switches and such without looking. This lead to a lot of heads-down time. On the other hand I had a real captain to order around so I didn /Tord Hoppe, Sweden
