March 30, 201214 yr Commercial Member I taxi up to 25 kts in a straight line in the dry if the jet is light enough to taxi at idle, less than 10 kts in turns (lateral loading of the tires - remember you're trying to make 60 tons deviate from a straight line!), and G550flyer nailed it with the other speeds based on weather conditions.Best regards,Robin.
March 31, 201214 yr if your behind schedule just do 240kts straight and 190kts turning :( :(lol. When I was going to Las Vegas, our flight was supposed to depart at 11:55 am but something happened in the terminal and the flight was delayed and we only closed the doors at 12:30... The pilot taxied at like 30 knots. I told the people around me "He's taxiing way to fast!" and then they said "Yea, we're late!". i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
March 31, 201214 yr 30 is about my limit for the real long stretches.. RW may not go that fast, but I get impatient.. lolThe sharp turns I'll drop down to 10 or less. Was reading a "Capt. Dave" article a while back where he said that although he had no problemsmaking fairly sharp turns at up to 14-15 or so in an Airbus, the FAA examiners would dock you ifyou were much over 10 on the turns on a check ride.
