March 31, 201214 yr CH Yoke:Using FSUIPC v4.8 I have assigned buttons 2, 3 and 4 (right-hand horn) for FS keyboard commands;button 2 = Shift + P (pushback)button 3 = 1 (swing tail to left)button 4 = 2 (swing tail to right)......[i deactivated the above buttons from the FSX\Options\Controls function.]So far so good! This works fine on ALL aircraft until Radar Contact is active when the commands 1 and 2 are used by RC for the menu selection and, therefore, only the pushback facility is available.Page 30 of the FSUIPC manual, bullet point #2 inferrs that the above FSUIPC settings (Buttons) would operate "outside" of the RC requirements - or am I reading this wrong?Any comments and an expert eye would be appreciated.Thanks. March 31, 201214 yr Ken just a quick comment. I stopped using my CHyoke for pushback. GSX works so good and its accurate for RW pushback accord to my United Airlines ramp boss friend.Bob Johnson
March 31, 201214 yr You can modify the RC keyboard assignments as you wish so they do not interfere but make sure they are unique. See the RC keyboard assignments tab.I reassigned the PB commands in FS to ctrl-down arrows for straight back, crl-left arrow for tail left, and ctrl-right arrow for tail right. If you set up combos like these you can then assign button macros (in the user registered version) of FSUIPC.In the FS9 version of PMDG products I also had to reassign these in the PMDG options menu from within FS as well.
April 1, 201214 yr Author Ron, Bob,thanks for your responses ~~~Doh! Never considered reassigning commands :sad:Will take a stab at that now.Bob, at the risk of being a total klutz - what is GSX :wub:Ken ;) Old enough to know better... ...young enough to do most of it again! April 2, 201214 yr Author Sorted :Nerd:Having looked at the options what I did was go to FSXOPtionsControls and set a "new" assignment for "Select #1 and #2" using Ctrl + left and right arrows. Then assigned the yoke button to these "new" assignments through FSUIPC - Yeah :Whistle:I never realised until now that "new" assignments could be made within FSX - opens up a number of possibilities :Peace:Result is that the "original" select #1 and #2 are still used for RC menu and the "new" ones control the pushback and turn :Applause:Ken.
