IMHO, that's a bit over the top. Orbx freeware airports were always meant to work best with their region packs.

Here's an explanation by Holger

Hmmm...can't read your link.

Here it is anyway :

Hi there,

for the Northern Rocky Mountain package we needed to adjust the base elevation of CEJ4 to match our high-resolution terrain mesh. That wasn't necessary with CEN4, which explains the difference between the two when used with the default scenery. In other words, re-installing CEJ4 won't help resolve the issue; you'll either need to purchase NRM or find some other add-on that includes similar terrain data.

To completely uninstall CEJ4 first remove its scenery library menu entry, then shut down FSX and delete the entire FTX_AA_CEJ4 folder in \ORBX\FTX_NA and also ADE_FTX_NRM_CEJ4_elevation_adjustment.BGL in \Scenery\World\scenery and scenerylib_US_CEJ4.cfg in \ORBX\Scripts.

Cheers, Holger

KInd regards

Since the Orbx forum is not open, hopefully this thread can now be helpful to others that run into this issue with Orbx airports and base FSX.

And to think all this could of been avoided with a simple readme file or complete web site info. <nag> <nag>

Edit: Giving them slight credit, I do see that the KHQM download does state it requires PWN.

VeryGrumpy, it was a such pleasure to look it up for you, No need to thank me at all.

Would you like payment for your services also, Mr. Meh? <jk> My disgust is aimed at Orbx not you or anyone else. I always appreciate any forum poster that contributes and helps. I already thanked all above but if you require a thank you I have no problem with that so..

Thank you, and again, all the others in this thread/forum that takes the time to pass on knowledge, info or help !!!!!!!!!!!

Edit : deleted by myself. Not worth it.
