April 5, 201214 yr Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU but at the lowest cost possible. I'm running a [email protected], with soon 8GB Mushkin 1600 8-8-8-24. Would a 560 TI be a subsantial upgrade? I want to run BP=0 but now I'm getting artifacts on occasion. I should add that FPS are pretty good and I'm using Word Not Allowed's tweaks. I'm just wondering if with a 560 TI I could use better AA than now. Also, I use a 22" monitor at 1920x1020. Thanks
April 5, 201214 yr I want to run BP=0 but now I'm getting artifacts on occasion. Run your Water settings in the FSX control panel at (can't remember) the next setting down from max (1x max?) anyway, that eradicates graphical issues when running the BP tweak. Sure, it has a frame impact, but if you want to get rid of the graphical anomolies when using the BP tweak, then this will help. April 5, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I actually overclocked the card as high as possible to core clock of 858, shader to 1716 and memory to 2190 and amazingly artifacts are gone. I also set Inspector to 4xS and 2xSGSS. FPS are locked at 35. Looks pretty good and performance is great. I'm sure a better card could be better, but I'm trying to not spend money if I don't have to. That being said, I don't fly in big airports with tons of traffic.
April 7, 201214 yr Every now and then you'll see a 560Ti 448 core on Slickdeals. I'm running one at the moment and can't say a single bad thing about it!
